yep i understand where anon are coming from an eye for an eye. i 100% agree in freedom on the web but thats for everyone.

That being said, why did Anon attack the Swiss banks when they froze Assanges funds and not when they froze Mubarak's and Ben Ali's funds? We supported the Swiss banks actions and opposed them. It all depends on the facts. That is why we do not forget, we do not forgive. We compile the knowledge to factor in decisions like these...

The logic I see, is Wikileaks never prevent Freedom, it encourages it... Gaddafi suppresses the freedom. Big difference. He has his right of freedom once he stops suppressing it...

That is why the Hive didn't DDoS LunarPages. I didn't say you accused anyone, just pointing out the difference in operations here. Brute force vs peaceful. This was not an attack towards LunarPages. It's an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth for Gaddafi. If the principle that brought in so many was a brute force OP against Visa and etc... this was a peaceful OP that required very little participants from the collective. This can't be compared to the attacks directed at the banks.

i never accused the hive of ddos'n anybody bud. but if i remember correctly didn't anon attack , pay pal for suspending wiki acc. visa for same, mastercard etc.. i do understand anon's point ,but logically it sort of goes against the principal that brought so many into the ddos attacks.

The "hive" didn't DDoS his site. It was asked that it be removed peacefully and LunarPages did suspend the account. He should find a Libyan webhost and we wouldn't care because it would be offline right now.

Some anon's claim this is as bad as what Amazon did to Wikileaks. The difference is the blood money used. The Swiss banks froze Mubarak's funds, and Wikileaks. Anon attacked the Swiss banks on behalf of Wikileaks, we did nothing when they did it to Mubarak...

What if we flipped that around, he's cut the freedom of speech for Libyans. Why does he still get his? Once he restores the freedom in Libya, he can than get his...

It might of started off as a single anon, but anonnews.org made it official by approving this Open Letter, however I used Transmitted by Anonymous for the video instead. Anon's are split on this one, see the comments for the thread.

Freedom goes out the window when you take it away from the People. He shutdown the internet and landlines, now wants to cut water and power... Yet his site stays up because it's hosted in the USA?

don't get me wrong he deserves to swing for what he has done. but i say freedom on the net for one then its freedom for all.

Nah, just seems like one guy from anonnews. Not to mention he's just requesting, and it's also not a terribly good business decision to host the tyrant's website, given the current circumstances. As for it being down? It's not an 'official' OP, just some guy jumping the gun.
